Use Which Bible?

There are many versions that are good:  NIV, ESV, NASB, NET, for example.

Quest Study Bible 

The Quest is a great Bible for almost anyone. With lots of articles and explanations understanding the Bible is quick and easy. From the publisher: The Quest includes "the top 100 most-asked questions about the Bible. This Bible features over 7,000 notes written in an engaging question and answer format."

Life Application Study Bible

The Life Application Study Bible has verse-by-verse commentary. The publisher says it includes:

  • Introductions/overviews for each book of the Bible
  • Over 500 maps & charts placed for quick reference

ESV Study Bible

The ESV Study Bible, according to the publisher, was "created by a diverse team of 95 leading Bible scholars and teachers―from 9 countries, nearly 20 denominations, and 50 seminaries, colleges, and universities" and it "includes 200+ charts and timelines, 240+ full-color maps and illustrations, 50+ topical theology articles, 120 Bible character profiles, and more."

Apologetics Study Bible

If you appreciate wrestling with questions like "How do I know this is true?" this may be the study bible for you. "The CSB Apologetics Study Bible helps Christians better understand, defend, and proclaim their beliefs in an age of increasing moral and spiritual relativism" says the publisher. Additionally, it "features commentary from over 90 of the best apologetics thinkers of our day in one resource, including: Ted Cabal, Lee Strobel, Paul Copan, Norm Geisler, Hank Hanegraaff, Josh McDowell, Albert Mohler, J.P.
