It doesn’t feel like God is answering my prayers. How do I get Him to answer them?

Sometimes it can feel as if God isn’t listening. But ask yourself, when I pray for something, how do I pray? Do you pray only when you need or want something? Or do you pray with consistence and persistence?

Many people these days just pray sporadically, and or only when they need or want something. That rarely if ever gets results. What gets results is consistent and persistent prayer. Just like with sports, in order to be good at them and get results, you have practice and you need to do it on a consistent basis. Prayer, believe it or not, is the same way. You have to do it, over and over again to get and see results.

God wants us to pray like that. He wants us to be like the woman in the Bible that persisted in trying to get the judge to give her justice. When we pray with consistency and persistence, God knows then that what we are praying for is truly important to us. He may not always answer our prayers in a way we want, but He will answer our prayers. Just remember, persistence and consistence bring God’s assistance.
